The Jesus is Godcast started as Bible study materials I created for a lifegroup I led for three years at my church. My vision was to go through the entire New Testament in a weekly Bible study. We would study one chapter per week and I’d have a few questions about the chapter. Included would be a paragraph summary of the chapter and a deeper analysis on the content, whether it be word studies, pastoral insights, historical context, or something else.

I always wanted to build on the studies and make them more conversational, like a companion guide to the Bible. A podcast sounded like a good fit because listeners could follow along while they’re driving, at the gym, or doing household chores. I personally enjoy listening to podcasts especially to learn new things and my hope is that listeners will be encouraged, learn about the Bible, and above all be convinced that Jesus is the God who He claims to be.
